Life’s Fallacies
Life is long and short at the same time.
It’s the little things that make it all worth it.
The friends that you have not seen in years yet when you see them all life’s problems seem to go away.
The bitter sweetness of a face that once brought contentment.
The nostalgia of a time when childhood worries were simplistic at best.
A time when you didn’t truly understand the complication of the world’s interruptions.
A time when your eyes saw no color but the hand of a friend.
A time when skipping down the street from school was all it took to make you happy.
A time when the site of a yellow school bus made you think of delight.
Life is long and short at the same time.
Short lived are the days where cheerfulness comes in the morning.
Long lived are the days of 8 to 5, and 6 to 10.
Short lived are the days of sitting on the front step and building a sandbox.
Long lived are the days of bills, bills, can you pay my bills.
Short lived is life, long lived is the bliss you can get from life by remembering.
Remembering when, childhood fancies brought tears to your eyes; a time when street dreams were all we had to reach for.
Long lived are the stars beyond the sky you have to attain.
Status, beauty, power, life’s idiosyncrasies.
Life is long and short at the same time.
