Lifes Goods

Life’s Fallacies

Life is long and short at the same time.
It’s the little things that make it all worth it.
The friends that you have not seen in years yet when you see them all life’s problems seem to go away.
The bitter sweetness of a face that once brought contentment.
The nostalgia of a time when childhood worries were simplistic at best.
A time when you didn’t truly understand the complication of the world’s interruptions.
A time when your eyes saw no color but the hand of a friend.
A time when skipping down the street from school was all it took to make you happy.
A time when the site of a yellow school bus made you think of delight.
Life is long and short at the same time.
Short lived are the days where cheerfulness comes in the morning.
Long lived are the days of 8 to 5, and 6 to 10.
Short lived are the days of sitting on the front step and building a sandbox.
Long lived are the days of bills, bills, can you pay my bills.
Short lived is life, long lived is the bliss you can get from life by remembering.
Remembering when, childhood fancies brought tears to your eyes; a time when street dreams were all we had to reach for.
Long lived are the stars beyond the sky you have to attain.
Status, beauty, power, life’s idiosyncrasies.
Life is long and short at the same time.

Its been a while

Hello,

My fellow creative minds, I know it has been a minute since I have posted, had to take a brief hiatus for life issues. However, I am back, I have recently been insipired to blog again, don't fret I have a ton of material that I have written and just need to post, so please comment on what you see in the next couple of weeks, let me know how you like it, I may soon be heading to an open poetry mic near you, I will post details once I get up the nerve to actually get in front of a mic and an audience to get my Maya Angelou on.

Keep the creative juices flowing!

-Lia

Its Time

It’s Time

Time to stop being scared,
Time to turn your fears into experiences,
Time to open your arms and enjoy and express love,
It’s Time!
Time to step up and be counted,
Time to be proud of the DNA that makes up you,
Time to let go of the past and look forward to the future,
It’s Time!
Time to live in the present since it is after all a gift,
It’s time to bring your old creativity to the for front,
It’s time to be alive and enjoy life,
It is time to stop crying and start smiling.
It’s Time!
Time to breathe in and breathe out and realize that your breath breads life,
Your breath is precious your breath,
Your breath, your breath gives yourself joy and peace.
It’s Time!

Angels They Fly

Angels they Fly

Angels they fly open arms to the sky
Living unseen amongst the sea and land
Taking life lightly as they step, enjoying every moment without needing a reason
Angels they fly with their arms open wide
Loving the world with a heart unsold
Giving there every breath to a new day of choices and decisions and choices and decisions
Will today be the day, my wings shall be granted
Understanding that life one day will be as beautiful as it may
Longing for the world of peace and calmness and peace and calmness
Looking for the ocean to end, the sun to shine brighter
Looking for the world beyond the sky knowing there is something greater
Angels they fly with their open arms to the sky, Angels they fly with their arms open wide.
Cry’s are only tear drops to the sadness of wanting to one day be that angel that flies.
Keep your arms open wide, open your eyes to the sky, feel the wings on your side and be our Angel that flies.

Moving Forward

Well its been awhile since I last wrote. I feel like I have had a lot changes I have been through in the last 6 months or so, some realizations that I already new, started tapping into a lot of things I used to love to do but didnt have time, started to appreciate my time on this beautiful land we call earth, and decided to move forward with love and happines. The happiness to know that everything I choose to do was a path given to me already before it was a thought. So moving forward i will walk swiftly...

"Moving forward as the distance a car glides down a highway ona road trip.

Always moving forward knowing that everything tht you pass will either be gone forever only a glare in the distance. Or it may just be something you will pass on your journey back, form whatever adventure you are going on.

Moving forward only knowing that everything you used to love and forgot , will come back again, sometimes life just has you take a quick detour. Just go with the flow and know you will return again one day."

Thus, in my life this applies because I have gotten back my love of cooking and baking no less. I love the way food makes people happy, especially when they know you made it for them, to enjoy and just be happy for a moment. My joy comes from seeing and making other people happy.

I will keep moving on in my life, new adventures, new things to learn and new life to live, just being me.........

Help for Haiti

Help for Haiti: Learn What You Can Do

In this time of need for Haiti, it is time to stop being selfish and stop thinking about what you don't have, beacuse I guarantee if you are remotley human you can see that your need is a far cry away from the need of those in Haiti.

My prayers are with the people, if I could pack up and give a hand myself I would. Instead I will continue to look for opportunities to help from the U.S.
